According to a Nielsen study, two thirds of consumers around the world say they prefer to buy products and services from companies that have implemented programs to give back to society. Going to college in DC, it’s rare to come across someone who isn’t socially-conscious!

Products that give back make consumers feel good about what they buy, in addition to holding companies philanthropically responsible. So which are some of the best fashion accessories that give back? Check it out:

Warby Parker Glasses: Through a partnership with VisionSpring, Warby Parker (one of my fave brands!) guarantees that for every pair of glasses sold another pair will be donated to someone in need.

Viva Glam Lipstick: Nicki Minaj has collaborated with M.A.C. Cosmetics to create VIVA GLAM—two lipsticks and two glosses ($15 each). Every cent of the selling price goes toward helping women, men and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.

GIV Mobile works with various organizations such as the Alzheimer’s Association, Doctors Without Borders, Scholarship America, the Red Cross and many more.

TOMS Shoes: TOMS is known for their one to one rule—every time a pair of shoes is bought, another pair is donated to someone in need. They’ve donated in more than 50 countries, and TOMS’ eyewear also has helped restore sight in more than 13 countries.
